Summary As the public face of our properties, you’ll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit. Salary: £12.75 per hour Duration: Fixed Term Contract until 14 September 2025 Hours: 305 hours across the contract. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the contract. Shifts will be 9:30am to 2:30pm on site open days, which are Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, as well as bank holiday Mondays. What it's like to work here Reporting to the Property Operations Manager, you’ll be the first point of contact to visitors to Orford Ness. Wild, remote, and exposed, Orford Ness is ranked as among the most important shingle features in the world, where rare and fragile wildlife thrive. Nationally and internationally recognised for its wildlife, it also has a fascinating history as a secret 20th century military testing facility. What you'll be doing Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You’ll be checking pre-booked ticket holders in for their trip to Orford Ness, selling tickets and giving important information on our boat crossing to Orford Ness.
