EV Project Manager
Role Overview
As an EV Project Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting with the management of construction activities with our ICP and EV Projects, to support the installation of EV infrastructure. You will work closely with design engineers, site managers, sub-contractors, internal project teams and clients to ensure an efficient, first in class delivery with a first-time right approach throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning: Develop detailed construction phase plans, including programmes of work, resource allocation, sub-contractors and with a focus on commercial project performance.
Site Management: Oversee day-to-day operations on various construction projects, ensuring programme, H&S, quality and commercial performance are achieved.
Health and Safety Compliance: Day to day management of health and safety processes to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
Resource Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure the availability of resources and materials needed for the project.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process, conducting inspections and quality checks to ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for project team, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or issues proactively.
Problem-solving: Identify and address any issues or obstacles that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to keep the project on track.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate site personnel, providing guidance, support, and training as needed to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project activities, including daily progress reports, change orders, and correspondence with stakeholders.
Staying Ahead of the Curve: Maintain a deep understanding of regulations, permits, and incentives related to EVs and ensure project compliance.
Skills and Experience
* Health and Safety exemplar.
* Sound understanding of CDM duties across project delivery.
* SMSTS and or APM advantageous.
* IOSH or NEBOSH advantageous.
* Significant experience in construction management or project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects of varying scales and complexities.
* EV/ICP experience and good understanding of associated processes essential.
* The candidate would be expected to have several years Project Management experience in a similar role. Experience in liaising with DNO’s, IDNO’s and ICP’s.
* Ability to multi-task and deliver/control multiple projects simultaneously.
* A self—disciplined approach, organized, structured and consistent in approach.
* A positive can-do attitude to ensure a dynamic team mentality is achieved in a new thriving business sector.
* Specific EV Charging knowledge is essential with a passion for Electric Vehicles and associated Infrastructure projects.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong Microsoft IT skills.
* Reliability, Flexibility and Dependability.
* Ability to work autonomously on EV Charging projects with focus on how technology solutions can be designed and adapted to meet client needs.
* In depth understanding of all legislation, regulations, working practices and other codes of practice relevant to the role.
