A bit about the job:
The Credit Risk team is a front office function that supports the origination and monitoring of private debt assets within Aviva Investors Real Asset. You will be working alongside a team of 14 senior credit risk specialists that provide credit oversight of origination and the existing portfolio of assets managed by Aviva Investors. The role is for a Counterparty Risk Analyst covering a broad range of assets across the Infrastructure, Real Estate Debt, Private Corporate Debt, and Structured Debt space. Responsibilities include:
1. Providing ratings for key counterparties.
2. Liaising with rating agencies to ensure rating models are aligned to external credit agencies.
3. Working with key stakeholders and participating in client meetings to communicate counterparty risk.
4. Tracking key sector events.
This is a commercially focused role, and the candidate should have strong skills in assessing investment risks associated with investments.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Strong financial accounting background with the ability to readily navigate financial statements. Prior experience/understanding of the rating process would be preferable but not a prerequisite.
2. Ability to assess key financial and commercial risk factors that could impact the credit risk profile of assets for public and private sector assets.
3. Strong numeracy, written, and oral communication skills.
4. Commercially focused.
