Job Description Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated and strategic-minded Finance Manager to join PayPal's Finance team supporting PayPal's Credit and Financial Services products. In this position, you will partner with the senior product leaders across the portfolio of businesses to manage budgets, develop forecasts, and uncover new opportunities to accelerate the business. You will also work with Treasury and Capital Markets to help optimize financial processes and integration across internal and external stakeholders and counterparties. The role will be a key focal point in facilitating financial decision-making through building business cases, developing operational management of initiatives, and diagnosing challenges or opportunities at the global scale. An ideal candidate will demonstrate strong financial modeling skills, offer a strategic perspective, and possess strong business acumen. A key part of the role will entail the management and oversight of the day-to-day operation of the loan securitization programs.
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
1. Manage complex financial models and processes to support forecasting and annual budgeting exercises.
2. Manage and oversee the day-to-day operation of the loan securitization program linked to PayPal's Buy Now Pay Later business in the UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain.
3. Partner with regional and corporate finance teams to drive clear alignment for product-level financial plans and results.
4. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with external strategic finance partners.
5. Lead monthly outlook and month end variance driver analysis by collaborating with key stakeholders to understand the trends of leading indicators.
6. Collaborate with senior business partners to define and analyze critical business and financial goals to drive accountability and influence critical decision making.
7. Support pricing analysis by channel and recommend changes to support long-term growth.
8. Lead financial analysis on new business initiatives to understand and prioritize opportunities.
9. Work with other regional and cross-functional teams including Accounting, Risk, Marketing, Capital Markets, Treasury, Sales, Product, and Payments Partnership Marketing to deliver valuable insights and recommendations.
Experience / Skills:
1. 3+ years progressive experience in financial services, capital markets, fintech, banking, and/or lending preferred.
2. Experience in managing loan securitization programs, or similar relevant structured finance products whether in front office/finance/ops/treasury.
3. Advanced Proficiency with MS Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint. SQL experience a plus.
4. Demonstrated excellence in financial modeling (3 statement) and Excel.
5. Self-starter and able to work with minimal guidance, with demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Persistent curiosity, desire to learn, and eager to solve problems and improve processes.
6. Strong data analysis skills, but also able to synthesize the big picture by identifying connections and relationships in data.
7. Technical competence with accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
8. Strong finance background delivering reporting and forecasts during high-stress situations.
Education:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; CFA/MBA/Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field a bonus.
