Are you a Solicitor or Barrister looking to join a small, busy, and supportive team? The University Secretary's Office provides legal advice and representation to the University, its Council, and committees, as well as to senior management and other colleagues.
If you are a practicing lawyer from any background who values working in a dynamic in-house environment, we would like to hear from you.
You will need the ability to work well independently, together with General Counsel, and as part of the wider team. We are seeking a candidate who is motivated to deliver legal services in a time-responsive, pragmatic, approachable and professional manner. You will need to have:
1. Strong drafting skills.
2. Demonstrable knowledge of contract law.
3. The desire and ability to quickly grasp new areas of law and issues within the higher education field.
This role is eligible to be offered on a blended working basis, meaning that as well as spending time working on campus you can also choose to spend some time working from another location, e.g. your home. Salary: £50,694 - £55,295 per annum (Grade 7) (additional supplements can be requested following recruitment subject to the individual skill set and experience and evidence of total reward package).
