TRANSFORMATION / CONTROLS ACCOUNTANT | Up to £48,000 per annum plus 12% bonus scheme
Hybrid role with both office and home-working
This is an exciting opportunity to join our Group Finance team in the new role of Transformation / Controls Accountant.
This role will support with driving change throughout the Finance function and the wider business, identifying and resolving risks and implementing new processes to maximise business efficiency and enhance financial controls.
The role has a wide remit and the scope will range from simple process updates to wholesale changes to longstanding but outdated procedures, potentially via the introduction of new technologies.
As well as identifying areas for change, the Transformation / Controls Accountant will be responsible for documenting new processes, selling these into the business and subsequently ensuring that they are being followed correctly.
This is an integral role within the Finance team that requires excellent communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of financial controls, have the ability to communicate confidently and effectively throughout the business and have strong decision making and analytical skills.
Practical experience of identifying and delivering change in a large corporate environment is essential for this role.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 150 hours per 4-week period (37.5 hours per week). Normal working hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. However, dynamic working is available whereby the earliest start time is 7am and the latest finish time is 7pm.
Please note, this role will be hybrid with a mixture of office-based and home-working.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
1. Qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA.
2. Good understanding of financial controls.
3. Ability to accept responsibility and make decisions.
4. Strong analytical skills.
5. Practical experience of identifying and delivering change in a large corporate environment.
6. Understanding of key strategic business drivers, regulatory constraints and finance processes.
7. Enjoyment of ad-hoc project work and a varied workload.
8. Ability to build relationships at all levels of the business, both within and outside the Finance function.
9. Ability to influence at all levels and present concise proposals for change.
10. Self-starter approach to make continuous improvements to processes to remain as efficient as possible. Needs to be comfortable in managing the change throughout.
