Registered Children’s Home Manager
Location: Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year + up to £4,500 in bonuses

What You’ll Be Doing
As the Registered Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping a safe, positive, and supportive home for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Your key responsibilities include:
* Leading the Home: Overseeing all operational aspects, ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and maintaining the highest standards of care.
* Tailored Support: Developing and implementing individual care plans that promote the emotional, social, and educational growth of each young person.
* Team Building: Recruiting, training, and supervising a dedicated team that shares your passion for exceptional care.
* Safeguarding: Acting as the lead to ensure the safety and well-being of all young people in your care.
* Fostering Culture: Creating a warm, welcoming, and nurturing environment where young people feel supported and valued.
* Collaborating for Success: Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, external agencies, and families to achieve the best outcomes.
* Managing Resources: Effectively managing budgets and resources to ensure smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a motivated and capable leader with:
* Qualifications: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or active progress toward it).
* Experience: At least 5 years in residential childcare, with 2 years in a leadership role.
* Knowledge: A solid understanding of legislation, regulations, and Ofsted standards.
* Proven Track Record: A history of delivering high-quality care and achieving positive outcomes for young people.
* Leadership Skills: Excellent communication, organisational abilities, and a knack for inspiring and developing your team.
* Resilience: The emotional strength to navigate complex situations calmly and confidently.
* Additional Experience: Working with young people with complex emotional, behavioural, or mental health needs is a plus.
