Job Description:
The Role
Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of clinicians, enabling clinicians to operate effectively and efficiently. Work in accordance with standard operating procedures.
What we'll need you to bring
1. SVQ level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience) plus at least 2 years experience in healthcare administration or at least 3 years experience in a secretarial role
2. Understanding of medical terminology
3. Evidence of effective team working and dealing with change
4. Evidence of strong communication skills with patients, clinicians and colleagues
5. Excellent organisational skills
6. Evidence of strong competence with relevant IT systems
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
1. Experience as a clinical Secretary
2. Knowledge of WinScribe and TrakCare systems
3. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word for Windows)
4. Sound knowledge of digital dictation system and TrakCare
Contract type
Fixed Term or Secondment for 12 months, Full time, 37 hours
Please note this is a fixed term post for 12 months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in University Hospital Monklands. The working pattern for this role Mon - Fri; 9:00-5:00.
