Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEN Teacher to work in an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ Primary school near Tyseley to join their staff team on a long-term basis. The school expect students to achieve the very best they can within a friendly and welcoming setting. Our client wants to appoint a dedicated SEN Teacher to oversee the school’s SEN unit with 15 pupils across KS1 and KS2 on EHC plans. The children all have high needs of autism and working to Year 1 level. There are 5 Teaching Assistants in the hub and a SENDCo on hand. Responsibilities in this role include supporting children to meet their individual needs, planning and delivering lessons, delegating to a team and monitoring the pupil’s progress.
This SEN Teacher role is to start in January and will continue until the end of the academic year. The position is 4 days a week (Monday to Thursday).
Required Skills and Experience for this SEN Teacher role:
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a SEN school or a resource base
Strong behaviour management
Working closely with teaching assistants, SENDCo and pupil’s parents
Commitment to the role
Planning and delivering lessons
Meeting the individual needs of the students
Create a positive learning environment
Working for Flourish Education as a SEN Teacher you will receive:
£162.31 day rate to £223.63 day rate which equates to £31,650 per annum to £43,607 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
