Learning Support Assistant
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £420 - £445 Per Week
Schedule: Monday To Friday - Full time (Temporary)
Start Date: Monday 6th January 2025
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs throughout their day at school. Your duties will consist of encouraging children to participate in academic, physical, or sensory lessons tailored to the class type. You will encounter additional needs such as Autism, SLD, and PMLD (Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities). You may also experience students with challenging behaviors, including ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and heightened anxieties. Requirements
To be considered for the Learning Support Assistant position, you will have:
* Previous experience working with challenging behaviors is highly desirable.
* An enhanced DBS registered to the update service or the willingness to apply for one.
* The ability to work on your initiative and proactively.
* A desire to work with young people with special educational needs.
* A driving license and car or accessible public transport links.
* Availability Monday to Friday.
