Overall purpose
Deal Area Foodbank and Pantry is looking to appoint a Business and Marketing Manager.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual with a heart for community with Business and Marketing skills. The role would suit someone who is a key team player that is happy to have a flexible role that covers across all areas of the business. Working closely with other managers, you will play a key role in marketing both the Foodbank & Pantry, raising funds through grant applications, sponsorship and other fundraising days with our local partners (70%-80%). Secondary to the marketing aspect, you will be responsible for supporting other managers, holiday cover and some weekly administration tasks across the business (20%-30%).
Job Title: Business and Marketing Manager
Hours of Work: 22.5 hours per week – Mainly weekday mornings, may be required to undertake some evening and weekend work as agreed by your line manager.
Salary: £26,208 pa (FTE), £15,725 pa (pro rata), £13.44 per hour
Location: The post is a combination of working at the Foodbank and Pantry both based in Deal but there may be the occasional need for the post-holder to work from other locations.
Working alongside: Foodbank, Pantry, Warehouse and Admin managers.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Marketing
* Regularly updating and maintaining social media accounts with relevant and engaging content, including stories, posts, and news.
* Responding to enquiries, comments, and messages on social media accounts in a timely and professional manner to foster positive relationships with followers and the community.
* Creation and allocation of marketing materials for both the Foodbank & Pantry.
* Networking with potential partners.
* Other ad-hoc marketing activities.
Business
* Grant applications – With the support and assistance of other managers, research and gain knowledge on potential available grants and complete applications that have been agreed with the team.
* Rollout of the new Trussell branding with partners, sponsors, and local communities.
* Representing Deal Foodbank and Pantry at local community/school events to raise awareness.
* General weekly administration tasks across the business.
* Working with other managers to maintain partnerships to organise joint fundraising events, food drives, and other community engagement activities.
* Raising awareness with local suppliers to increase donations for both Foodbank and the Pantry.
General
* Promote and implement equality and diversity.

Person Specification
Deliverables
* Management and Business Experience.
* Volunteering experience in the charity sector.
* Along with other managers, learn how to deputise for the Foodbank, Pantry, Admin, or Warehouse Manager to cover for absence.
