If so, iCaSH Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes are ideally looking for a full-time (37.5 hours p/w) Sexual Health Outreach Co-Ordinator. This role will involve operational management of the sexual health promotion and HIV prevention service targeted at vulnerable communities and high-risk groups identified in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes. It will also be responsible for ensuring delivery of outreach health promotion, Chlamydia screening, HIV point of care testing (POCT) and condom distribution across the counties.
Main duties of the job
1. Provide line manager responsibility, supervision, operational management to the outreach staff teams in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.
2. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of Chlamydia screening, to include dual testing and results management, with young people aged 15-24 years across the counties.
3. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of targeted HIV POCT across the county, supporting local agencies with training and resources to deliver it within their service if appropriate.
4. Support the provision of training for the outreach workers to manage an HIV positive diagnosis following a POCT.
5. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of condom distribution services targeted at young people, vulnerable and high-risk groups across the counties.
6. Co-ordinate the GP and Pharmacy provision for condoms, NCSP and emergency hormonal contraception ensuring all relevant information, training and supplies, are up to date.
7. Working with the outreach team, develop and deliver innovative health promotion interventions addressing the needs of the local population.
8. Network and build relationships with relevant community organisations encouraging them to take part in the countywide outreach schemes.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide line manager responsibility, supervision, operational management and day-to-day guidance and instruction to the outreach staff teams in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.
2. Working to the National Chlamydia Screening Programme (NSCP) targets for Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes, ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of Chlamydia screening, to include dual testing, with young people aged 15-24 years across the counties.
3. Responsibility for results management of NCSP ensuring patients are informed of results and treated either within a community setting or within the clinical service in a timely manner.
4. Working alongside the service and Public Health to ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of targeted HIV POCT across the counties.
5. With the HIV specialist nurse, support the provision of training for the outreach workers to manage an HIV positive diagnosis following a POCT.
6. Ensure the effective planning, coordination and delivery of condom distribution services targeted at young people, vulnerable and high-risk groups across the counties.
7. Co-ordinate the GP and Pharmacy provision for condoms, NCSP and emergency hormonal contraception ensuring all relevant information, training and supplies, are up to date.

9. Working with the Co-production team to actively engage with high risk, vulnerable and underrepresented groups in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Communication:
1. To represent the iCaSH service to clients, patients, other teams and agencies.
2. Key relationships will be with a wide range of internal and externals bodies including patients and local people, managers and clinicians Stakeholders.
3. To attend team meetings, senior staff meetings and any other meetings relevant to organising and developing the service.
4. Ensure appropriate communication and staff involvement structures are in place.
Budgetary Responsibilities:
1. Ensure that service aims are delivered within the resources available.
2. Assist the Service Manager to control and review the usage of resources against planned performance.
3. Provide regular reports on contractual outreach performance as agreed with Service Manager.

1. Maintaining own professional development and requirement to take part in appraisal.
2. Support outreach team development plans to ensure the team is equipped and performing at the required level.

* Relevant clinical, management or administrative qualification to degree level or equivalent experience
* Evidence of continuous professional development

* Relevant practical managerial/leadership and operational experience
* Experience of working in an outreach or community project/setting
Skills
