The Line Controller is to assist the OTL in the manufacture of quality products and meet production needs with due regard to Customer Specification, Hygiene, Site Rotation Policy, Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures, Production Control and Productivity.
Shift pattern: Twilight Shift - Monday to Friday. Hours of work: 18:00-02:00.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To work in a manner that promotes the health and safety of oneself and others.
* To report any health and safety issues to your immediate manager.
* To report any accidents or near missus to the first aider in the area.
* To set a good example of behaviour.
* To work in a manner which ensures Quality and Hygiene standards are maintained in the production environment.
* To ensure productivity standards are maintained
* You may be asked to work in any area of the business as and when demand requires it.
* To carryout a reasonable amount of overtime or to work outside core hours to meet orders and demand of the business.
* To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in
* relation to the processes and procedures operating within your area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
* To gain a full understanding of the process in Moy Park.
* Contribute to that department/ add value by developing requisite skills in this area in line with Moy Park competency framework
* Within your area of responsibility to ensure that line speeds and performances are achieved, with the aim of maximising line efficiency.
* To monitor, control and report on the product quality of your area including product entering and leaving the area.
* To ensure the correct labelling of all pallets leaving your area.
* To advise or recommend any improvements to work methods which could improve the productivity, performance, safety of the operation.
* To communicate regularly and effectively with the Management in order that they are fully briefed on all aspects of line / area operations, in particular the achievement of line/ area targets, employee attitudes and product quality
* To maintain a working understanding of the operation of machinery within your line / area.
* Liaise with the incoming / outgoing Line Controller at shift changeover to establish any problems with machinery etc.
* To ensure that all appropriate paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
* To assist in the control and organisation of the labour allocated to your line/area
* To effectively manage the timings of breaks to ensure minimum downtime and maximum efficiency
* To liaise closely with training to ensure operatives are trained to line/area requirements.
* To ensure that all paperwork is completed accurately and train staff where required.
* To liaise with the Technical team to ensure the correct implementation of intake procedure.
* To assist in the training of new key colleagues
* To apply and abide by all aspects of legislation and Company Policy on Health, Safety and Environmental including RSI, back injuries and Lifting and Handling, constantly seeking to eliminate hazards which would be injurious to personnel.
* To monitor hygiene and housekeeping, including the cleanliness and security of all Company property, such that the required standards are upheld at all times.
* To work a proportion of overtime at weekend or end of shift as required.
* To report to the Department Manager immediately any occurrence that could affect the finances or security of the Company or put its name into disrepute.
* To undertake any other reasonable and relevant duties as required by Management.
* To work in a manner that actively seeks to reduce any negative environmental impact in relation to the processes and procedures operating within their area and across the wider business e.g. reduction of waste, recycling etc.
* Manage Buddies to ensure training is effective for employees and agency workers
* Any other duties that are required.
