Learning & Development Consultant (Retail)
Southeast England based – Regular travel across the East and Southeast of England.
£38,000 + £4,500 Car Allowance + 10% Bonus + Great benefits, discounts and development opportunities

We are looking for an individual to support the Learning & Development team in defining and providing continuous training solutions, to help develop new and existing retail employees and managers, whilst ensuring customer excellence is always delivered.
Reporting to the Learning & Development Manager, this role will focus on the design, development and delivery of various training initiatives, providing continuous training to team members and management on performance improvement, career development and succession. Specifically:
1. Identify development gaps and opportunities based on business needs.
2. Own and implement end-to-end development support plans.
3. Inform and manage stakeholders on planned support and learner progress.
4. Coach management to enhance leadership and management skills.
5. Analyse store data and KPI’s to understand areas of opportunity.
6. Support managers in delivering a robust induction and onboarding process.
7. Assist in delivering effective performance reviews, 1-1’s, and PDP’s.
8. Design, develop, deliver and evaluate quality blended learning content and resources.
9. Support any other projects as directed.
Suitable applicants must have a proven track record of delivering the above duties, gained from a retail or very similar environment.
You will be a self-starter, with the ability to manage multiple projects. You will have a positive approach, inspiring learners to engage and be empathetic when managing expectations. You will be personable and articulate, with excellent communication skills and able to keep stakeholders updated and involved in decisions and outcomes.
Flexibility to travel nationally with regular overnight stays is essential. This is a field-based role, requiring (on average) 2 days travel and one overnight stay every week. When not travelling, the role will be home-based.
