Interaction Health and Social Care are looking for Therapeutic Care Workers for a Children's Service.
YOU MUST HAVE A LEVEL 3 IN HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE. YOU MUST BE A DRIVER.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Working under the direction of the Residential Care Manager to actively contribute to the provision of quality care, promoting the health, welfare, education, and development of young people.
2. Collaborating with the team to ensure that the home meets all regulatory and statutory requirements.
3. Embracing the home's therapeutic ethos in line with the community of communities standards and guidelines and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
4. Actively contributing to the delivery of a nurturing, homely, safe, accepting, and caring therapeutic environment for children and young people to build self-esteem and confidence.
5. Working proactively with the team within daily routines and agreed structures, including day-to-day parenting responsibilities, household tasks (cleaning, washing, cooking, shopping), and participation in activities with the young people.
6. Supporting young people in the school environment, assisting with lessons and homework.
7. Ensuring an appropriate programme of activities is in place and working with young people's care plans to fulfill parenting responsibilities.
8. Facilitating contact with family members where appropriate.
9. Using effective care practices, de-escalation, and diversionary strategies to manage behavior in accordance with the company's Behaviour Management policy.
10. Safeguarding children by identifying and reporting abuse and complying with prescribed actions or processes related to safeguarding investigations.
11. Following all relevant legislation, regulation, and the company's Policies and Procedures, staying updated on changes.
12. Completing all electronic and paper recording systems daily in line with the company's recording protocols and participating in handovers and team meetings.
13. Working in a non-discriminatory manner to support the differing cultural, racial, and religious needs of young people.
14. Abiding by the company's Health and Safety policies and procedures to ensure safe working practices for staff, young people, and visitors.
15. Taking responsibility for a designated area of work or practice development as directed by the Team Manager.
16. In conjunction with the Home Manager and team, developing a positive public profile of the service and ensuring professional communication and relationships.
