Security and Incident Manager Location: THORPE PARK Resort, KT16 8PN Hours: 40 hours per week, Some evening and weekend work per business needs Salary: The Security and Incident Manager has a key role overseeing the Resort’s safety operations, emergency preparedness, and response strategies. This position is entrusted with creating and maintaining a safe environment for guests and employees, in combination with the local Health & Safety team, while ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and internal policies. The role involves leading multi-disciplinary teams responsible for 24-hour site security, incident management, evacuations, first aid, and crisis response. Responsibilities: Lead the design, implementation, and regular review of emergency protocols, focusing on evacuations, guest incidents, and crisis management. Act as the Crisis Coordinator during emergencies, directing resources and making critical decisions under pressure. Manage the maintenance of all safety systems, including fire alarms, public address systems, and CCTV, ensuring their operational readiness at all times Develop robust incident reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely documentation of safety issues. Support the Merlin Entertainments Group Health & Safety team with investigations into accidents or incidents, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures Build, lead, and inspire a team of certified security, emergency response and medical teams.
