Salary: £14.59-£28,071pa

What does the job entail?
On behalf of Warwickshire County Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join their Children and Families Court team. This is a high-profile post and would be an ideal opportunity for someone who has worked as a Legal Assistant within Child Protection, that is looking to further develop their experience within Local Authority. Working for 2 Solicitors who hold a mixture of Child Protection cases. You will be responsible for gathering evidence, preparing bundles, complying with directions of the Court and ensuring that the case management system is kept up to date.
You will achieve this by:
1. Providing clerical and administrative support to the team.
2. Undertaking fee earning activities to support the team.
3. Undertaking legal work such as: file opening, letter preperation, preparing statements, preparing bundles, etc.
4. Processing routine - moderatly complex legal matters (such as debt recovery, debt litigation, property transactions, etc).
5. Providing advice to clients (internal and external).
What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?
6. Experience as a Legal Assistant within Childcare in the Private or Public sector
7. An understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules
8. Experience of a range of office systems including MS Office and SharePoint
9. To be able to work under pressure including meeting deadlines
