Pertemps are currently recruiting for a leading food manufacturing company based in Wainfleet, looking to strengthen their production team. Our client is an expert in food processing and is seeking a Production Team Leader to oversee production activities in a designated area of their facility. This role involves managing a team, ensuring efficient operations, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety to meet production targets.
Experience in a similar role or within the food manufacturing industry is required. Full training will be provided to support you in meeting the specific demands of this position.
What will I be paid?
The hourly rate starts at £13.90 per hour.
What hours will I be working?
Your working week will be Monday to Friday, with flexible hours ranging from 35 to 48 hours per week:
Standard shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM (but this is flexible)
Weekend availability may be required depending on production needs.
What will my duties be?
Plan and supervise daily production activities to meet schedules and targets.
Monitor processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency in your area.
Lead and motivate a team of production staff, assigning tasks and providing training.
Ensure compliance with food safety standards
Coordinate equipment maintenance
Maintain accurate production records and report performance to the Production Supervisor.
What skills & experience do I need?
Previous experience in food manufacturing or a similar production role is required.
Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and basic health & safety practices.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and production management systems.
Good communication, numeracy, and literacy skills.
Flexibility, attention to detail, and a proactive “can-do” attitude.
Basic Food Hygiene and Manual Handling qualifications are advantageous.
Driving licence preferred for commuting to the work location.
