Product / Category Manager - South West
We’re working with a market-leading manufacturer of furniture to find a ambitious and driven Product or Category Manager (or someone at a Head of level) to join their dynamic team. This is the perfect role for someone who’s ready to develop their career, enjoys working with like-minded, fun people, and has a flair for design, detail, and data-driven decision-making. A great sense of humor and being a true team player are must-haves!
The Role
This high-profile position will see you leading product research, managing technical specifications, and bringing new products to market. You’ll collaborate with senior sales leaders to grow categories and increase market share, while also working closely with suppliers across China and Europe to innovate in furniture, sanitaryware, and mirrors.
What You’ll Do
* Drive NPD (New Product Development) and range extensions to ensure competitive positioning and sales growth.
* Develop and implement 3-year strategic category plans aligned with business objectives.
* Conduct trend analysis, market research, and competitor benchmarking to launch innovative, commercially viable products.
* Act as the go-to product expert across retail, specification, and export channels.
* Manage promotional product deployment aligned with communication strategies.
* Lead and mentor a Product Manager, fostering their growth.
What We’re Looking For
* 3-5 years’ experience in Product or Category Management, ideally within furniture, bathrooms, interiors, fashion, ceramics, tile, carpet, flooring, Sanitaryware or similar with a flair for design.
* A degree in Business/Marketing
* A strong mix of analytical and creative skills, with an eye for design and trends.
* Knowledge of China manufacturing/sourcing and an understanding of production methods is advantageous.
* Exceptional communication and influencing skills with experience presenting at all levels.
* Highly organised, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
