Annual salary: up to £29,278.37 General Operative Rotherham Full time – Permanent role - 42.5 hours per week salary of £29,278.73 per annum company van and fuel card With 30 years of delivering market-leading repairs, refurbishment, fire safety and building maintenance services, Mears is trusted to deliver in excess of 6,000 housing repairs daily to a portfolio of more than 1,000,000 homes nationwide. About the role; In this role, you will be responsible for completing material deliveries, rubbish removal, small maintenance and estate management tasks efficiently and to a high standard, adhering to standard operating procedures. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring first-time completion within budget and time constraints. A professional demeanor is essential when interacting with service users, clients, and stakeholders, maintaining high standards of appearance, vehicle condition, and health and safety. You will process tasks electronically using a PDA, including documenting work, managing van stock, and conducting risk assessments. Maintaining company assets in good condition and attending necessary meetings and training sessions are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you may be required to participate in emergency call-outs and perform various grounds maintenance tasks such as hedge cutting, strimming, and rubbish removal. Key Criteria: Able to drive a 3.5-ton flatbed truck Previous experience in a grounds maintenance role Full UK driving license All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
