We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Social Worker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in identifying and engaging potential foster carers, ensuring that they possess the necessary qualities and commitment to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in need. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough assessments of prospective foster families, which involves evaluating their suitability through home visits and interviews. You will also be pivotal in providing support and guidance to foster carers throughout the process, ensuring they are fully informed and prepared for the responsibilities they will undertake. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fostering regulations and be able to communicate effectively with diverse populations. As an advocate for children, you will work collaboratively with local authorities, health professionals, and other stakeholders to promote best practices in fostering. Responsibilities
Conduct initial inquiries and assessments of potential foster families.
Evaluate the suitability of applicants through home visits and interviews.
Provide information and support to prospective foster carers about processes and expectations.
Develop and oversee the recruitment strategy to attract diverse foster families.
Collaborate with local authorities to align fostering practices with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and maintain thorough documentation of assessments and reports.
Stay informed about current fostering legislation and best practices to effectively guide applicants.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
Current Social Work license or equivalent in the field of child welfare and protection.
Demonstrated experience in a social work setting, preferably in child protection or community services.
Strong understanding of fostering regulations and child welfare policies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse families.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Compassionate and empathetic approach with a strong commitment to advocating for children's rights.
Must be a car driver and commit to at least 3 days on site in Liverpool per week

Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £27.98
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside
