Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Mirfield (hybrid)
Salary: Up to £50,000
Opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to work on new projects and make a significant impact within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to manage modern IT systems and contribute directly to business success.
Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises server and network technologies across multiple sites along the M62 corridor, as well as cloud services.
2. Collaborate with business leaders and external partners to enhance infrastructure resiliency, security, and futureproofing.
3. Oversee the service desk function, ensuring incidents are logged and resolved in line with service level agreements.
4. Deliver exceptional customer service to end-users, resolving technical issues across multiple platforms.
5. Address recurring technical challenges and provide training or documentation as required.
6. Investigate and resolve medium to high-complexity application-related issues, guiding business users on IT solutions.
7. Create and maintain technical processes, training documentation, and knowledge base articles.
8. Assist in implementing and testing IT solutions and recruit or train team members when needed.
9. Support IT projects such as removing legacy technology and improving systems.
10. Deputise for the UK IT Manager as required.
Infrastructure Engineer Requirements:
1. Proven experience managing internal users and liaising with solution providers in a manufacturing environment.
2. Hands-on experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, 3rd Line Support, or System Administrator.
3. Expertise in Cisco networking (switching, routing, Meraki, Umbrella).
4. Strong knowledge of Hyper-V and Microsoft Office 365 suite (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint).
5. Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI, SSRS, or Crystal Reports.
6. Experience with scripting (e.g., SQL).
7. Exposure to ERP systems (Dynamics 365 or AX) and Business Intelligence tools.
8. Organised, adaptable, and able to manage complex systems and processes effectively.
