The purpose of this new role is to develop and implement the PROSCI change management methodology/approach and plans that maximise employee adoption and usage while minimising resistance. This role is in the Organisational Development Team within the Transformation Service. You will be part of a small team and will also work alongside another Change Manager colleague. You will be a PROSCI accredited Change Management practitioner and have experience of working on complex projects to enable the positive adoption of change by employees and stakeholders. Another aspect of this role (30% of the role) is workforce development consulting partnering with service teams who request workforce planning development support. This involves identifying workforce issues and proposing/delivering solutions that are specific to a service.
We are a relatively small council with circa employees. That means you can make an impact quickly. Ideally you will enjoy working collaboratively with a very diverse range of service groups, be autonomous and persistent in achieving outcomes. You will have a lot of scope to bring in your own ideas and will be expected to use your own initiative with minimal supervision. Influencing, and managing challenging situations are important skills in this role as is the ability to communicate with employees at all levels.
This post can be undertaken on a home working basis. You would be expected to travel to internal customer/team meetings or events as required.
Home Working Consideration
Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered for this post, subject to a trial period and in accordance with East Lothian Council’s Home Working and Worksmart Policies which can be found
