1:1 Teaching Assistant - Year Class ASD Support (NG7) Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant Location: NG7, Nottingham Year Group: Year 2 Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time Salary: £95 - £115 About the Role: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in NG7. The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a pupil in Year 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a rewarding role that requires patience, understanding, and the ability to adapt to the individual needs of the pupil, ensuring their educational and personal development. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with ASD, focusing on their individual needs. Promoting a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and promote engagement. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure the pupil's progress aligns with their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Assist with social and emotional development, encouraging independence and confidence.Requirements: Proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly ASD. A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Strong understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and related strategies. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
