Job Description
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Commissioning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful transition of facilities into operational readiness. Your responsibilities will include:
* Authoring facility commissioning strategies and plans in line with project requirements.
* Producing commissioning schedules aligned with the master project timeline.
* Leading Verification & Validation (V-model) of commissioning activities and documentation.
* Managing test failure resolution and ensuring compliance with nuclear safety standards.
* Coordinating with suppliers, operations teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless commissioning processes.
* Witnessing key testing phases (Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, etc.).
* Reporting to the Operational Readiness Manager, ensuring milestones are met and progress is communicated effectively.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
* Honours Degree in a relevant discipline (Mechanical, Process, Electrical, or I&C Engineering).
* Proven experience in commissioning within nuclear, defence, or other highly regulated industries.
* Strong understanding of nuclear safety protocols and ONR License Condition 21 (Commissioning).
* Demonstrable project management skills, with experience in complex infrastructure projects.
* Experience in Verification & Validation (V-model) and developing handover plans.
* Excellent stakeholder management and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to obtain security clearance
