This is an exciting time to join our ICT-Information Services Team as we develop and improve our services. We are looking for an enthusiastic Systems Developer who will be responsible for the support, maintenance, and administration of the College Information Systems, reporting for all stakeholders.
You will bring strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, manipulate large datasets and quickly determine trends. Along with the ability to design and build creative and efficient reports and dashboards that use data to answer whatever question is being asked. You will also have experience of Microsoft SQL and a wide range of analytical techniques. Ideally you will have experience writing complex SQL queries along with building reports and dashboards, as we need the role to support all our business functions.
Experience of writing queries in SQL along with developing in VB.Net/ASP.Net is required. You will either already be familiar with the landscape of education sector data available through OFSTED and ESFA, or be able to demonstrate the ability to rapidly become so.
As a team player, you will build strong relationships with colleagues across the College, increasing your understanding of the data and systems landscape, developing our analysis and reporting work, and delivering deep insights to colleagues.
You will need to have the following:
1. A relevant degree and or extensive experience of working with systems and large complex datasets along with interpreting and cross correlating data to produce relevant executive insights and dashboards are also required.
2. A minimum Level 2 in maths and English (GCSE Grade C or above, GCSE Grade 4 or above or equivalent).
3. A Prince 2 Foundation or ITIL Foundation Service Management Essentials qualification is desirable.
