An exciting opportunity has become available for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a well-established and RCVS accredited practice in a popular market town in Staffordshire. This practice, which has been providing exceptional primary care to pets for over 100 years, is renowned for its commitment to high standards and the welfare of animals. They primarily care for cats and dogs across Staffordshire, with occasional patients including small furries and even the odd chicken, ensuring that no two days are ever the same.
The practice is part of a growing group with two RCVS accredited sites, one of which is also a registered Veterinary Nurse Training Practice. The team is supportive and tightly knit, consisting of passionate individuals who are dedicated to offering excellent care. The team includes seven Veterinary Surgeons, one of whom holds a certificate in Ophthalmology, and several others who are working towards specialist certificates, including in Surgery. There is a strong emphasis on professional development, and the practice is eager to invest in its associates.
As a modern and forward-thinking surgery, the practice is equipped with cutting-edge technology, including an in-house laboratory, X-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscope, ECG, Tonopen, a state-of-the-art dental lab, and more. The location of the practice is ideal, situated in a market town that offers a blend of history, active living, and convenience. The town is home to historical sites and a wide range of shops, restaurants, and bars.
The role offers a great work-life balance with a 4-day working week, a set day off, a Saturday morning rota (9 am - 12.30 pm), and a 1:6 full Saturday rota (8.30 am - 5 pm). The practice is open to both full and part-time applications.
