We are looking to offer a Trainee Lifting Equipment Fitter the opportunity to join our expanding Specialist Plant & Equipment team based in Newton, Nottinghamshire.
About the team
The Specialist Plant & Equipment team are responsible for the provision of bespoke Plant & Equipment to project throughout the UK primarily in the Overhead Lines Industry.
About the role
You will join a team of Fitters who strip, service, load test and certify a range of mechanical lifting and other specialist equipment. Providing adequate stocks of equipment to meet both site demands and warehouse stock requirements. Always ensuring that all necessary certificates are recorded with the STE Office Team, working to strict deadlines. Occasionally working away from home at our operational sites all over the UK.

As the Trainee Lifting Equipment Fitter, you’ll get the opportunity to:
1. Assist with the load testing of lifting equipment and specialist plant items, ensuring projects are delivered safely and on time
2. Prepare, inspect and certify lifting and other specialist equipment in line with LOLER and PUWER regulations
3. Ensure that all items are booked out of the warehouse to the correct site
4. Inspect equipment that has been returned from site, identifying damage and ensuring that all items are booked into the warehouse
5. Carry out and certify scheduled on-site inspections
