Are you an experienced tutor with a passion for supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a dedicated SEMH Tutor to join our team in Reading, helping young people overcome barriers to learning and regain confidence in their education.
About the Role:
As an SEMH Tutor, you will:
✅ Work 1:1 or in small groups with students experiencing trauma, anxiety, low confidence, or emotional school-based avoidance (EBSA).
✅ Assess individual learning needs and create tailored schemes of work to support progress.
✅ Deliver engaging, structured, and supportive lessons to build academic confidence and emotional resilience.
✅ Provide feedback and progress reports to parents, schools, and relevant professionals.
About You:
Experienced in working with students with SEMH needs, including trauma and anxiety.
Skilled in adapting learning approaches to suit each student’s unique challenges.
Patient, empathetic, and passionate about helping young people thrive.
Able to plan, assess, and deliver individualised learning programmes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
