We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated music teacher to join one of our partner schools on a long-term basis, focusing on teaching music to children with SEN. The school caters to students with complex and profound needs, including behavioral challenges, Autism, and Down Syndrome. They pride themselves on their restorative justice approach to behavior management, fostering a respectful culture that emphasises building positive relationships within our school community.
We are looking for an individual who embodies kindness and warmth in their teaching style, possesses a creative mindset, and is capable of planning, preparing, and assessing lessons effectively. You will create a nurturing environment for your students, adapting your teaching methods to meet each child's unique needs while remaining flexible in your approach. Experience working with children who have SEN is essential, as a strong understanding of their needs is crucial for success in this role.
This part-time position requires commitment for 3 days a week, with the possibility of additional days for general cover if desired. The school is renowned for its flexibility and offers a welcoming, supportive team atmosphere.

To be considered for this role you must have the following:
* Minimum 6 months teaching experience in the UK
* Experience teaching secondary aged children with SEN /SEND
* Be reliable and flexible
* Be able to deliver and cover lessons to a high standard
* Have the right to work in the UK
* Have a positive can do attitude
* Have a DBS on the update service or willing to gain a new one.
* Be available full time and full days (8.20am – 3-45pm)
