Responsibilities:
1. To act as a source of expertise and training in the dietetic care of patients, medical staff, and other health professionals and will support the nursing teams.
2. To provide dietetic support to patients, both in and out-patients.
3. To manage a caseload of people who have complex needs within the in-patient setting using evidence-based, person centred principles to assess, plan and evaluate specialist dietetic interventions.
4. To provide the dietetic input within the multi-disciplinary team.
5. Working in liaison with the catering providers to ensure that the menus provided offer a balanced diet and supplementary diet where required and the menus reflect the choices of the people accessing services.
Minimum Requirements:
1. BSc Dietetics or Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics
2. Registered Dietitian Member of the Health & Care Professions Council
3. Documented Evidence of Continual Professional Development
4. Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.
5. Must have bariatric experience.
