Job summary We are looking for a qualified Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Intensive Rehabilitation Service supporting Pathway 2 discharges in the South of Wiltshire based in Salisbury area. This service is based within inpatient bed based rehabilitation setting to provide patients an opportunity for focused rehabilitation after a hospital admission to enable patients to work towards their goals. You will work with a multidisciplinary approach, alongside physiotherapists, assistant practitioners, rehabilitation support workers, care staff and social workers to ensure the patients are supported to work towards their goals, in aim of returning home or into another setting. As a band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will support the Clinical Lead to lead the team including B5 therapists, Assistant Practitioners and Rehabilitation support workers. You will be involved in supervision and appraisals along with supporting development of the team and service improvement. Assess, interpret, plan and implement treatment and care to patients on the stroke pathway. Wherever possible to reduce in-patient length of stay by promoting and supporting early discharge.
