They are expanding their audit and accounts team with an Audit and Accounts Manager to support the department and facilitate future growth and succession planning – reporting to three directors.
The role involves taking a proactive approach, including mentoring apprentices, providing training and feedback, and supporting the team.
Proactively ensuring workflow efficiency, the role also involves being part of the management team and working towards practice growth while maintaining a friendly and engaging work environment.
Responsibilities: Audit & Accounts Manager
* Manage a portfolio of clients
* Deliver audit, accounting, and tax compliance services to a range of clients including sole traders and limited companies
* Prepare statutory and management accounts
* Prepare personal and corporation tax returns
* Bookkeeping and management accounts
* Mentor and support apprentices, providing guidance and training
Skills / Experience: Audit & Accounts Manager
* ACCA or ACA qualified with over 2 years post-qualification experience, preferably in an audit practice with multi-tasking experience
* Experience auditing groups is advantageous
* Strong analytical skills applied to business problems
* Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
* Attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with multiple reporting systems
* Located within driving distance with a valid license
* Strong client-facing skills and willingness to engage in local networking and training events
* Additional skills include communication, analytical, numerical, and IT skills, adaptable within a growing business
