Mid-Level Automation Specialist

Southampton (hybrid) 3 days in the office
The Automation Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing our clients efficiency by automating internal processes and seamlessly integrating various systems such as CRM and Billing.
The role:
* Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline internal processes.
* System Integration: To deliver automation, the ability to integrate with systems like the CRM, billing systems, and other internal platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
* Microsoft Azure: The knowledge to use Microsoft Azure for developing and deploying automation workflows and managing cloud resources efficiently.
* Power Apps Creation: Develop and maintain custom applications using Microsoft Power Apps to deliver on automation and integration objectives.
* Database querying : Able to connect to and query, insert and modify data in order to perform automation and integration. Able to create tables where required to deliver on automation and integration or to achieve optimal automation performance by the use of SQL and maintenance of Microsoft SQL databases.
* File System and Server Management: Implementation and connection to file systems in order to help with process automation, while ensuring high availability and security.
* Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Implement and manage RPA tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve productivity.
* Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of automation processes, integration procedures, and technical configurations.
* Support and Troubleshooting: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for automated systems and integrated platforms.
* Collaboration: Work closely with other IT staff and departments to identify automation opportunities and deliver solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
* Project Management: Provide regular progress reports on automation project(s) progress.
* Continuous improvement: Improve design and build standards by exploring innovative approaches, best practices, and industry benchmarks. Conduct research to stay up to date with the latest advancements in robotics and automation technology.
About you:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Experience with robotic process automation tools (e.g., Microsoft Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc).
* Proficiency in developing applications with Microsoft Power Apps.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Database, including SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
* Familiarity with file system management. Both onsite server as well as cloud storage.
* Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell).
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, or similar.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to resolve technical and process challenges.
* Ability to analyse business processes and identify automation opportunities.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project goals.
* Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
* High level of dedication and resourcefulness.
* Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
* Demonstrated experience in automating business processes and system integration.
* Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Power Platform, or RPA tools are highly desirable.
* Willingness to stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
