The Role
To provide direct clinical care, which encompasses dietetic assessment, treatment and management of patients.
To act as a source of expertise on nutritional therapy to patients, general public, other health care professionals including medical staff and GPs.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Registered Dietitian with valid HCPC Registration
2. The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
3. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
4. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
5. Excellent time management skills
6. Working knowledge of basic information technology
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
7. Degree or post graduate diploma in Dietetics
8. Evidence of further training/CPD in dietetic practice
9. Member of British Dietetic Association
10. Experience of training other staff groups on nutrition
11. Evidence of involvement in projects/clinical effectiveness work
12. Interest and/or experience in student training
13. Evidence of working or clinical placement within an acute hospital setting
14. Good knowledge of up-to-date dietetic practice
15. Knowledge of audit, standard development and supporting change in practice with teams
16. Knowledge of specialist dietetic interventions relevant to post
17. Good verbal and written communication skills
18. Ability to prioritise caseload/work.
19. Flexible. Motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking
20. Skills in group work
21. Networking skills
22. A full, valid current UK/EU/EEA drivers licence

Fixed Term for 9 Months

18.5 hours
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Please note this is a fixed term post for 9 Months. Where a post only has temporary funding and an existing member of NHS Lanarkshire staff wishes to apply, this will be treated as a secondment. The employee MUST already have written agreement from their line manager to be released on a secondment before applying for the post.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Nutrition and Dietetics within University Hospital Monklands
The working pattern for this role 08:30-16:30
