I’m proud to be recruiting for a skilled Maintenance Technician on behalf of a large multinational manufacturing business for their site on the outskirts of Lowestoft.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with the engineering and production teams to minimise downtime and improve overall equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on machinery and equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Respond to breakdowns promptly to minimise downtime.
Assist with machine installations, modifications, and upgrades.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Keep accurate maintenance records and reports.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.Requirements for the role:
Relevant engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
Knowledge of PLCs, conveyors, motors, pumps, and automated systems is advantageous.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude toward improvement.
