Internal Sales Executive
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Internal Sales Executive to join Eastern Concrete as part of our Stowmarket based sales team.
The Internal Sales Executive serves as the first point of contact for customers, embodying professionalism and confidence to deliver exceptional customer service. This role involves building and maintaining an active customer base to support the commercial team and driving new sales for the future of the business. Working closely with the wider commercial team, you will gather and share information, quote prices, and collect market data.
By applying sales skills, the Internal Sales Executive will capitalise on commercial opportunities through price negotiation to achieve sales targets set by the Management Team. You will take ownership of incoming enquiries, vet them, quote prices, collect market data, and support the team with quote raising and chasing.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Follow up on sales leads and generate new business via telephone & email.
* Identify potential new customers through cold calls, emails, and online listings, and book appointments for the Business Development Manager to follow up.
* Build and maintain relationships with both new and existing customers.
* Ensure quotations are kept up to date and current.
* Assist the commercial team with all commercial administration tasks.
* Coordinate payments at the time of order placement or set up alternative payment methods.
* Check the sales and information inbox daily.
* Action smaller orders and refer all other enquiries to the Business Development Manager/Commercial Director.
* Read and respond to emails, redirecting them to the appropriate persons.
* Take customer orders and liaise with the Distribution Team for scheduling and delivery.
* Produce monthly reports demonstrating the company’s position in relation to targets, budgets, and timelines.
* Coordinate with Operations on aggregate stock levels or special requirements for upcoming workloads or projects.
* Field enquiries and schedule work for pump hire, volumetric, and ready-mix sales as necessary.
Skills and Qualifications:
* 2years customer service experience.
* Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.
* Experience working with telephones and handling multiple calls and emails daily.
* Patience, time management skills, and the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent numeracy skills for accurate and speedy calculation of sales prices, discounts, and percentages.
Person Specification:

Experience in sales is required, and you should thrive in a busy environment with excellent IT and communication skills. A good understanding of sales and distribution is advantageous, and you must be able to work on your own initiative to build new customer and internal relationships.
