Job Description
Our client, a leading company in the rail sector, is currently seeking a Station Operations Support Specialist to join their team in London on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Expertise: Act as the subject matter expert on station operations, guiding project teams and contractors in defining operational concepts and station integration strategies.
2. Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary liaison for end-users during stakeholder meetings, ensuring the operational needs of the station are met.
3. Scenario Development: Facilitate Day-in-the-Life scenarios to demonstrate the station's operational flow and alignment across teams.
4. Alignment Across Stations: Ensure that operational processes are consistent across all four stations and aligned with contractors for Station Building Systems.
5. Operational Process Development: Collaborate with the Main Works Sub-Contractors (MWSC) and Operations team to create requirements and processes to guide subcontractor designs.
6. Coordination: Manage interface coordination activities with the Network Integrated Control Centre (NICC) and other station operations.
Job Requirements:
1. Experience: Extensive, hands-on operational experience within major station programs.
2. Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of station systems and how different operational elements integrate within the station environment.
3. Stakeholder Interaction: Strong skills in managing workshops, representing end-user perspectives, and coordinating with various contractors and operational teams.
4. Travel: Based in London, with occasional travel to HS2 offices and project sites.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of leading workshops and presenting to diverse stakeholders.
