Our Client, a rapidly growing SME within the Mechanical Services industry, is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Projects/Contracts Manager. The head office is based in West London, with contracts and projects across London and the surrounding Home Counties.
This role reports into the Director.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the current Project Managers and Contracts Managers. You will also be required to oversee multiple installation projects with values in excess of £200K. The majority of the contracts are retrofit and refurb projects within Local Authority and Central Government. Exposure and experience with these types of contracts is essential.
The candidate will need to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Proactive management of Health & Safety
2. Planning, managing, executing, and controlling projects
3. Sole responsibility for budget, programme, quality, supplier, and subcontractor management
4. Participate in bid/tender processes
5. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients
6. Full man management responsibilities
Requirements
1. Educated to HNC/HND/Degree level in Mechanical discipline.
2. Demonstrate experience working as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, or currently working as a Project Manager from within the building services industry is essential. Working within Local Authority Contracts would be an advantage.
3. Relevant Health and Safety qualifications such as SMSTS/ISOH/NEBOSH
4. Experience of delivering projects as the Mechanical Contractor
5. Excellent working knowledge of all MS Office applications
6. Successful experience in dealing directly with Clients and the public
7. Ability to work on his/her own initiative
