Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated Band 5 RGN to be a valuable asset to our team. This role offers the chance to work alongside skilled professionals, providing exceptional care to our patients. Additionally, you will have the exciting opportunity to assist in minor operations and dermatology clinics alongside our clinicians predominantly on weekends. While previous dermatology knowledge and skills are desirable, they are not essential, as we believe in providing training and growth opportunities to our team members.
The successful candidate will be expected to primarily work in Outpatients at Victoria Infirmary but would need to be able work at Main Outpatients Department Leighton Hospital, if and when required.
Main duties of the job
* Organising and co-ordinating outpatient clinics, assessing care needs and developing, implementing and evaluating programmes of care.
* Working alongside other multidisciplinary teams.
* Provide specialist information and support within the outpatient setting to both patients and nursing support staff.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
* To perform comprehensive assessment of patients nursing needs, plan, implement and evaluate care in the outpatients setting, utilising research as appropriate and supporting junior colleagues with this.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team/agencies to ensure that patient needs are met.
* To be designated to manage the clinic for the duration of shift by clinic manager.
* Prepare the clinical area for safe practice by ensuring that cleanliness is maintained, materials and equipment are ready for use, including clearing away afterwards.
* To support in the management of a specific group of patients and deliver evidenced based nursing care to the highest standard.
* Collect, collate and report information, maintaining accurate patient records/documentation.
* To respond to and prioritise a wide range of demands and tasks in a rapidly changing environment, liaising with other members of the multidisciplinary team.
* To contribute to the promotion of effective, appropriate and timely information and education to patients and relatives.
