We are a Japanese day/boarding school based in Wexham, Buckinghamshire. In addition to providing a Japanese education curriculum for our students, we run a number of residential short-term English courses in spring and summer for visiting students from Japan. Each course lasts for about 1 week to 3 weeks depending on the age of students.
We are currently looking for experienced EFL Teachers for a residential course held from 10 March 2025 to 26 March 2025. You are required to arrive at school on the evening of 08 March 2025. We will provide you with three meals per day and a single room with an en-suite bathroom in a students' dormitory.
Role and Responsibilities
- Plan and implement fun, interactive and communicative lessons with your own ideas and resources.
- Engage fully in the activity programme, leading, assisting and taking part in activities.
- Lead the group on excursions, following pre-planned itineraries.
- Ensure the students safety and welfare and supervise them at all times during activities and excursions.
- Actively supervise and interact with students during break times.
- Respond to the needs of students, Group Leaders and Japanese accompanying staff at all times.
- Be outgoing, approachable and friendly for students.
- Work closely and effectively with the other EFL Teachers and the Course Organiser.
- Assess students progress at the end of the course.
- Carry out all other reasonable tasks.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
- TEFL, CELTA, TESOL or relevant qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the UK. (We do not support your UK visa.)
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication skills and organisation skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexible attitude
- DBS check registered with update service is advantage.
- Experience of working at residential summer school setting is essential.
