Would you like to work as an examinations invigilator for the University of Southampton during the 2024/25 academic year? Exams are run in January, May/June, and August.
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated people who want a flexible job that can fit around other commitments.
Invigilators must be reliable and professional. They need to have a clear voice and must be able to relay procedures and regulations calmly to students, in a firm but kindly way. Full training will be given prior to work being undertaken.
We see the invigilators role as 50-50 balancing the requirements of academic integrity and supporting student welfare. We expect candidates to show respect to all students and staff and to follow policy and procedures to deliver in their role.
You must be fully committed to the role and complete all the online training modules before you can invigilate. You will then be supported in your role with your exams induction, team leader guidance, and collegiate support.
We regret that we cannot accept applications from active students on Taught Programmes / PGT Students.
