BH Other Benefits: Life Insurance, 8% Pension, Healthcare Scheme, Training & Development & Staff Socials __________________________________________________________________________________ The Role: The Royal Aeronautical Society is a professional body dedicated to aerospace, aviation, and space communities. They exist to further the advancement of aeronautical art, science, and engineering around the world. The Society offers a wide range of activities to inspire and support the next generation of aviation, aerospace and space professionals. The Education and Skills Executive will join the Royal Aeronautical Society's (RAeS) Education and Skills team to support the delivery of careers, schools' inspiration, scholarships, and educational activities for the Society, working closely with Society members, employers and stakeholders, young people, and education providers. The Education and Skills Executive will also assist in organising the Society's annual Careers in Aerospace & Aviation LIVE recruitment exhibition, liaising with target audiences such as schools, members, employers, training providers and key partners. The Education and Skills Executive will also represent the Society at external events such as air shows, university/college careers fairs, STEM events and exhibitions around the UK to advise on careers in aviation, aerospace and space opportunities and pathways to visitors. The Education and Skills Executive will attend internal and external board and committee meetings and to provide updates on the team's outreach and schools programme, educational initiatives, and challenges. About You: Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent professional experience/training in a relevant field, such as careers/education/STEM. Experience in outreach, careers/employability/teaching/coaching experience in a charity/social enterprise, particularly aimed to young people A strong and confident communicator on all levels with previous presenting experience to variety of audiences Ability to build & develop business -education relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally Work collaboratively with boards, committees & volunteers Passionate about Careers, Education & Learning & Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative Have availability to work outside of usual working hours and able to commit to regular UK travel for events and exhibitions Our Culture: At the Royal Aeronautical Society, we play an important role in the Society's vision of leading & providing knowledge to the Aerospace, Aviation and Space Professional community.
