Position: Mental Health Support Worker
Salary: £11.90 to £12.40 per hour

About the Role
Are you a motivated individual seeking a rewarding role in a service that truly makes a difference? We are currently recruiting male applicants only due to a genuine Occupational Requirement (under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act).
Pay: £11.90 per hour (Overtime: £12.40 per hour)
Hours: 48 hours per week (12-hour shifts)
As a Mental Health Support Worker, you’ll be part of a dedicated team providing person-centred care to adults with forensic mental health backgrounds, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, and autism. Your role will involve supporting service users in their homes, helping them integrate meaningfully into the community.

Qualifications
* Experience with working with people with Mental health, Autism, Challenging behaviours and Learning Disabilities
* People who have used restraint or would be comfortable being trained to use restraint
* Can lone work with confidence and be part of a wider team
* Strong values and person-centred approach
* Must be able to work shifts to meet the needs of the service
* Individuals who are enthusiastic, resilient, energetic, and proactive
* Individuals who can go biking, fishing, swimming and engage in physical activity with the person they will be supporting
* You will need to be enthusiastic and creative to provide the best person-centred support possible
* A commitment to personal and professional development
* Resilience and drive to overcome challenges
* The ability to understand and demonstrate empathy for the people you are supporting
* Be passionate about supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism
* Be prepared to work with people who present with challenging behaviour and in some cases risky behaviours
* Be energetic, active, confident and fun!
* Experience working with either forensic mental health, supported living or residential setting
* Can evidence NVQ qualification in social care or Care Certificate – Training can be provided
* Have a knowledge and understanding of diabetes or worked with individuals with diabetes – Training can be provided
* Have a valid driving licence
* Live within a 30-minute commute / drive to Epsom
* Fully paid 2-week induction and clinical training
* PMVA training
* Fully paid DBS check to start employment, you will then be required to sign up for the DBS Update Service and maintain an annual subscription (at a minimal cost of £13 per year)

To qualify for Tier 2 Sponsorship at Accordia Care candidates must meet all the below terms and conditions before applying:
* Must already live within the local area of Accordia Supported Living Service in Reigate Road, Epsom KT17
* Must be already in the United Kingdom on a Student Visa and graduated.
