Belcan Workforce Solutions is currently looking for a Lead Commissioning Engineer to work for one of our clients based in Reading, UK. (This contract will be Inside IR35)

Key Responsibilities:
* Technical and Engineering Support: Provide expert support for BMS Systems, ensuring all project documentation is completed and performing skilled commissioning testing on instrumentation and control apparatus.
* Commissioning Activities: Execute commissioning tasks on control circuits, VSDs, AHUs, level control devices, flow control devices, temperature control devices, and pressure control devices.
* Procedure Review: Review and execute commissioning procedures for assigned instrument/electrical tasks with guidance from the Project Commissioning Engineer.
* Documentation and Analysis: Read and interpret vendor documentation, project drawings, schematic diagrams, and equipment manuals. Analyze work problems and make corrections for system assignments.
* Leadership and Quality Assurance: Lead technical and quality requirements on projects, ensuring adherence to company quality processes and procedures. Allocate tasks to the commissioning test team and monitor progress.
* Collaboration and Safety: Establish positive working relationships with immediate supervision and personnel departments. Follow all safe systems of work and support the Project Commissioning Engineer in all aspects of project technical delivery and scope management.
* Opportunity Identification: Support the commissioning team in identifying and managing risks and issues.
* Project Strategy: Develop and plan the project delivery strategy for each System.
* Health and Safety Leadership: Provide health and safety leadership by example.
Function
The EC&I Test Team Leader (Commissioning) is normally expected to undertake the following:
* Undertake or manage site surveys as required.
* Undertake or manage Toolbox talks within the team as required.
* Develop test specification and design testing methodology with the team.
* Develop site work documentation with team input as necessary (risk assessment, method statement, site test documentation).
* Develop O&M documentation with input from the project team as necessary.
* Supervise full integrated system testing, CFAT, SAT, and installation & calibration testing if required.
* Undertake or manage observations, variations, and reworks.
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous technical experience in the field of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Control.
* Previous experience in the Nuclear Industry.
* Previous experience supervising a team of Electrical/Instrument technicians.
