Job purpose: Engineering support for process equipment and systems.
Equipment: Pumps, Steam Boiler, Gearboxes, High Speed Separators and Decanters, Valves, Instrumentation, Compressed air systems, Rotating machinery, Steam systems, Evaporator systems, DAF plant, tankage and other process equipment, infrastructure systems, Instrumentation (level, pressure, flow meters), ABB drives, Mitsubishi Drives, SCADA System, PLCS, heat tracing.
Main Duties:
1. Repair and maintenance of factory equipment including, when applicable, the installation and commissioning of new plant or the improvement of existing systems.
2. Wiring in new equipment.
3. Fault finding in panels.
4. SCADA system – fault finding.
5. Contractor management.
6. Instrumentation and process control understanding fault finding with contractor support.
7. Carry out preventive maintenance routines to ensure maximum reliability of plant and process equipment.
8. Panel checks.
9. Probe calibrations.
10. Lighting checks and replacement.
11. Carry out boiler safety tests as per UK HSE requirements.
12. Ensure that all tasks are completed in accordance with relevant standards and practices.
13. Ensure that all works are tested under duty conditions before handing over to production.
14. Keep engineering records up to date with work history and any other relevant supporting engineering documentation.
15. Contribute to a “can-do” culture within the small team that manage and run the factory.
16. Liaise with engineering contractors and suppliers.
17. Ensure that engineering spares are replaced when used and that spare parts are easily identifiable.
18. Ensure that tasks are carried out with due regard to the required Health and Safety standards.
19. Comply with and support the management of the HACCP plan and feed safety standards in raw material, intermediate and final products.
20. Keep work areas clean and tidy.
21. Keep management appraised of engineering issues.

Qualifications:
* Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
* 18th Edition Training.
* Forklift license and Cherry Picker license desirable.
* Process controls understanding and experience desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £19.00-£21.50 per hour
Expected hours: 39 – 47 per week
