Based at: The home address in Bungay

Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support a 7-year-old boy at home and in the community ensuring his safety and welfare is priority. The young boy has autism and is nonverbal. He enjoys being active including parks and soft play centres and has a passion for numbers and letters and educational games. The young boy lives at his home address in Bungay with his family. There may be times when the PA would be required to have the young boy at their house.
There are aspects of personal care involved in this role e.g. support with toileting.
The hours are variable and more hours will be available during the school holidays, the times/days can be flexible depending on the applicant and the families commitments each week and can be arranged in advance to suit both parties.

Experience of working with children with SEN
Punctuality and reliability essential.
Flexible in the hours and times that you can work.
Be patient and supportive.
Be friendly and outgoing.
Be honest and trustworthy.
Be respectful of the child’s dignity, at all times.
Understand the need for privacy and confidentiality.
You should have a thorough understanding of personal safety.
A willingness to undergo any training highlighted by the employer.
You should have some knowledge and understanding of risks.
