Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated consultant to fulfil the role of Associate Director or Director, working as part of our senior leadership team to lead and support high quality service delivery with our clients and to develop and grow our team. The role will focus principally on developing consultancy products and leading delivery of high-quality services for Defence / Public sector real estate clients, while recruiting, leading and developing a team of consultants to fulfil these roles.

Proven leadership skills, coupled to integrity and a working ethos that is team focused are essential qualities. Responsibilities (Duties)
1. Developing and securing business opportunities with existing and new clients.
2. Developing, expanding, and growing our offer and services in defence and public sector real estate.
3. Recruit, develop, grow, lead, and manage a team of consultants.
4. Support clients to develop and deliver projects and programmes throughout their lifecycle, including scoping, business case, procurement, contract management, troubleshooting, monitoring, reporting, and assuring.
5. Develop internal stakeholder relationships within advisory, infrastructure, real estate, and natural resources sectors, liaising with Key Account Managers and Sector Leads to support work winning.
6. Leading & managing project and delivery teams.
7. Ensuring that client requirements are effectively identified, scoped, and delivered to high quality.
8. Lead business growth by responding to open tenders, managing bid responses, seeking business opportunities, and building strong internal & external client relationships.
9. Develop and deliver a consultancy offer in defence and public sector real estate.
10. Build a team to deliver services effectively, achieve commercial targets and develop technical capabilities.
11. Network & coach/mentor as appropriate to develop Turner & Townsend’s wider skillset.
12. Input to the strategic direction and operational management of the Asset’s and Facilities Management team as member of the senior management team.
13. Drive results and deliver on a day-to-day basis.
14. Train, coach and advise delivery teams to ensure that sound collaborative behaviours and techniques are adopted and maintained.
15. Take ownership of effective formal and informal communications with senior key stakeholders.
16. Lead business development activities, write proposals and support tender submissions.
Qualifications
Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject.
Professionally qualified member of a recognised institution.
Impact and influence, conceptual and analytical thinking, developing others, team leadership, subject expertise, organisational awareness, and sound administrative skills.
Experience
Experience of working in public and private/commercial sectors delivering transformational change in major programmes.
Business development experience, in the context of identifying and winning opportunities with existing as well as new clients.
Good working knowledge of relevant legislation issues.
Experience of working in multi-disciplinary teams and matrix management organisations on major projects and programmes.
Excellent communication including writing and presentation skills – including ability to communicate with clients and other key stakeholders on global, national, and regional issues.
Able to build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identify and resolve client’s issues.
Experience of people management, line-management of a team of different grades, including talents, development plans, recruitment and growing a successful team.
Confident leading and working alone or as part of a team, with ability to adapt as required.
Attention to detail in service delivery, communications, and ways of working effectively with others.
