About The Job Salary: £35,235 - £37,938 a year pro rata plus £963 Essential Car User (subject to criteria) a year pro rata Hours per week: 37 Contract type: Fixed term until 02/02/2026 Our department are looking for someone who is able to be responsible for pitching and securing of good quality properties of a suitable type, size and location across all private sector initiatives (including Private Sector Leasing (PSL); Rent Deposit Scheme (RIS); Nightly Rate (NR); Modular Homes; Hostels Decants; homeless prevention and accommodation on behalf of other Council departments to meet individual and business targets, raising early alerts on any procurement risks. You will be expected to support the TA Commissioning Manager (TACM) in delivering the Temporary Accommodation Procurement Strategy as well as actively market the various private sector initiatives to as wide as range of landlords and lettings agents as possible, using all available tools and methods of communication to meet individual and team Negotiator targets. About You We are looking for someone who is able to manage periods of heavy and conflicting work demands to meet targets and deadlines as well as be Able to use word processing, spreadsheet and data base packages. You’ll have the opportunity to develop on your existing skills by communicating effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of staff, Members, parliamentarians, civil servants, business representatives and members of the public. We do ask that you have a NVQ level 3 in a relevant vocational or equivalent experience or training. Applicants for this role will need to be able to tactfully, and thoroughly, respond to complaints against the service, from whatever source as well as have the ability to negotiate effectively with the private sector.
