About The Role: Days of Working: Monday to Friday Shift Pattern: 07:00am to 11:00am We require a Security Coordinator to join our team working in a busy control room environment. Main responsibilities include the day to day running of The Mall security key room, managing contractor control systems, monitoring of and response to critical life safety systems and incident response. This role is the main communication vehicle for the site relating to contractor control and allocation of staff equipment. Key Responsibilities: Manage the control of contractors on-site for both landlord and retailer work: Administrate the permissions to work at The Mall and sites in the vicinity under its control through communication via telephone and email systems. Examination of contractor risk assessments and methodology (RAMS) to identify and flag high risk activity and works requiring landlord approvals/permits. Issue work permits via paperless system and issue access cards to visitors where necessary. Contractor work inspections where necessary (Clear down/compliance checks) Monitor and control access to the control suite and key room. Daily updates of contractor works/appointments communicated to Control team and Compliance Manager where applicable. Manage the allocation of staff equipment on a daily basis maintaining the key/equipment registers. Daily allocation of fire marshal duties and associated administration. Provide a superior, proactive, personalised level of service to visitors, retailers and contractors to The Mall and surrounding sites within Cribbs Causeway. Be observant and take action to provide a safe and secure shopping environment. Possess the ability to provide results or resolutions to problems with a positive and courteous manner. Major Incident Management exercise planning. Undertake to adhere to all Health and Safety requirements, fire regulations, company policies and on-site procedures relating to these matters. Understand and comply with all of the Client's security rules and requirements. Undertake manual handling duties (not exceeding a load of 20Kgs individually) Other duties as and when required as requested by a senior member of staff working for OCS or CBRE. Qualifications: Essential: Must be educated to GCSE grade A-C essential in 4 subjects/NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard (Grade A-C English Language). Competent in the use of Microsoft word, Excel, and Outlook programs. SIA Guarding or Door Supervisors licence. IOSH managing safely. Effective relationship developer, who can contribute to a team-based culture. Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desirable: SIA CCTV Licence. Experience in a similar environment is desirable but not essential. Ability to demonstrate initiative and offer new ideas.
